My yoga journey began with practicing Vinyasa and Iyengar in my neighborhood

gym in New York City. In 2005, I discovered the 26 + 2 sequence (aka: Bikram

yoga) in a gritty studio overlooking Broadway. I fell in love with the heat, benefits

ranging from clear skin to a quiet mind, and that floating feeling of well-being

after class. And I never looked back. But no matter the yoga, every posture to me

is a Vinyasa sequence unto itself, and every posture deserves Iyengar-ish

attention to every detail.

As a teacher, my goals are to challenge, energize, and ease the yogis and

yoginis I am guiding. I encourage students both to go to their edge and, at the

same time, to work carefully toward deeper expression. Yoga gives us the

chance to practice self-discipline and self-acceptance; I honor both. As a teacher

and a yogini, I believe if we do our asanas with humility, precision, passion, and

self-compassion, yoga then becomes a gift we give from ourselves through

ourselves to ourselves.

Training and Experience:

I am certified by the Original Hot Yoga Association, after training at bodēnyc

(previously Bikram Yoga NYC) in 2019. My training also includes a credential in

Yoga Nidra guided meditation. From 2009 – 2014, I wrote a blog in exchange for

practice at my home studio, “Postcards from the Heat.”
